Suzuki Xl7
Rdezvous. The 7 passenger, four door sport utility vehicle is all set to capture the market. With two trims the Limited 4WD and the Touring 2WD both with 2.7liter V6 and 183hp engine which can achieve about 17mpg-18mpg in the city and 20mpg on the highway with a 5speed manual andransmission gives the ridecomfortable engine. This vehicle is well planned out quality vehicle of a reputed company. The security features on the vehicle are really neat and extensive. Air bags for both the driver and passengers are provided. This 6 cylinder vehicle with leather seats, power sunroof is ready to give a tough competition. AM/FM radio, anti-lock brakes and an antitheft radio are the other convenient features. A lower end climbing gear 2 trim packages the middle sized SUV which sports a smart look has a 12.1inch longer wheel base. Depending on the third row seat the SUV can seat either 5 or 7 passengers. The first generation of XL7 was an extension of the Grand Vitara and had a rear wheel dirve platform. The present day 2012 Suzuki XL7 with a two row seating like seating arrangement looks like a person is having a theatre ride. The second and third row of seats can be folded although not completely.
Fabric covered seats are still there and an option for leather seats are available. The 24 valve 2.7litre engine is here to drive the full family around and it does not care much for bad road conditions. An overdrive feature with two transmissions reducing the engine speed by 500 rpm makes it a wanted vehicle. Fuel economy is not much but the distances the driver can cover is a lot and adds to the advantage. A strong vehicle though but it is a bit heavier than the competitors like the RAV4 or CR-V of Honda. The only disadvantage is that a heavier vehicle needs more fuel for running.
